January Photography Tip For Brides

Well everyone, it has been 2 months since we updated our blog. We have been extremely busy, sick and with the holidays; we have just been too busy. But busy is a good problem to have in the economy today.

In the past we have promised to give some tips to our brides for their wedding day. It is hard being a bride as you only get married once and as a photographer; we see 30+ weddings a year and know a lot more than a bride would as for the finer details.

This month we have 2 ceremony tips for the bride and her bridesmaids.

Tip #1

When the bridesmaids are walking down the aisle make sure they all hold their flowers at hip/belly height and not up in their face or high chest as this looks unnatural and not very flattering to look at in pictures. Also tell your bridesmaids to relax and walk at a normal pace down the aisle. Do not run!icon smile January Photography Tip For BridesIt is not a race it is a time for them to take their 15 seconds of fame and be the center of attention as they walk down.

Tip #2

When you are doing things of importance on center stage at the alter, please make sure your maid of honor is not constantly fluffing your dress and fixing it. Such as during the vows, kiss, and unity candle. The time to fluff the dress is when you are going to sit back down or stand up for the first time to go in to one of the above mentioned events. If your brides maid is constantly fluffing it will take away from the attention being on you to her being annoying to guests and she will be in every picture front and center and in th view between you and your photographer.

These 2 tips can be relayed to your bridesmaids during rehearsal and will be of your best interest to get the best possible pictures.
