Vintage Pittsburgh Engagement Photos
A few weeks ago I got a call from a wedding planner friend of mine, Sumer from Simply Perfect Weddings asking me if I would do a phone interview with an out of town client of hers. She said they were interested in my work but could not meet in person right now due to living outside of Pittsburgh. I agreed and was excited to possibly work with Sumer again. Our phone interview came and it felt more like talking to old friends rather than a potential client interviewing me for the job of capturing their wedding. When I got off them phone I was so excited that it went well and the next day I was even more excited to find out that Meagan and Justin wanted to book me for their wedding.
I met the fun couple for the first time when we met for to do the engagement photos. They told me on the phone that they want something different, something fun, to incorporate vintage Pittsburgh and do it with a twist. So we met in the Strip District of Pittsburgh where we got some great photos and began to get to know each other. We had a lot of fun walking around the strip getting some great shots of some older buildings, loading docks and Justin even bought flowers for his beautiful fiancee. When we were done in the strip, they did a costume change and we ventured in to the city where we went to the Convention Center, down by the river on the river walk, Clemente bridge, and a few other special little locations in the city. As we walked around talking and getting to know each other, i kept getting ideas on new places to take them to bring out their personalities and style. I could have walked around with them all day and took their photos everywhere around Pittsburgh.
As you will see in the photos, Justin and Meagan couldn’t keep their hands of each other as they kept hugging, kissing and looking deep in to each others eyes. As much love as there was in the air, they sure did laugh and have a great time too. It is great working with a couple that has such different tastes (Sorry Meagan, I am a Pittsburgh fan and I had to mock your choice of sports teams – although I do like your teams too… shhh don’t tell any of my Pittsburgh friends) but yet doesn’t let that get in the way of their love. O wait it kind of did when a hockey fight broke out in the middle of the street. I think Meagan won that one

Notice the care that drove right by and how no one helped the female Caps fan as she was going fist to fist with a TRUE Pittsburgh fan. I’m kidding, I’m kidding.
Meagan was awesome and this was all her idea. As you can see in this one photo, how much fun they were. If this is any indication as to how much fun we are going to have at the wedding, then I can not wait for then. I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding in 2012 and getting to work with Sumer again. Thank you again Sumer, for referring me to this awesome couple.
Thanks for checking out my blog post of Justin and Meagan. I hope you enjoy the photos and feel free to share them with your friends and family.

Thanks
