Few venues in the world of golf have the championship tradition of Oakmont. Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more combined USGA and PGA championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Open. For a couple as wonderful as Chris and Tara to have their lavish event at the Oakmont Country club is another wonderful event held at the club.

Tara and Chris had such a beautiful day at Oakmont, PA. The sky was clear, the temperature was warm but not too hot and the day just could not get anymore perfect. I met this lovely couple over a year ago when we did their engagement session in the streets of Pitts campus. I knew right away we were going to not only have fun that day but have an amazing time at their wedding.

As you can see in the photos below, all of the details of Tara’s day were so beautiful and perfect. The flowers were beautiful, the ballroom was decorated just right and had very nice uplighting. I think uplighting takes your reception look and feel from something that is great to something that is about and beyond. It adds to the mood and feel for the night and also makes the reception photos so much more dramatic.

We had the pleasure to work with 2nd II None Productions for the evening. They were the perfect choice for Tara and Chris as they way they got the party going and kept it going, it fit their personalities and style perfectly.

This was one wedding that took me a few days to recover from. They partied hard all night long, as you will see in the photos. Thank you for looking and feel free to share this post with your friends and family.
