Destination Wedding at The Club Continental in Jacksonville Florida – Jacksonville Wedding Photographers
What a great time we had photographing Duane Lawson and Colleen Harris wedding at The Club Continental in Jacksonville, Florida over Labor Day Weekend. The weather was just perfect with blue skies, nice warm day that was not too hot but has some pretty crazy humidity. But that is expected when shooting in Florida in a tropical setting. The Club Continental was the perfect location for this couple and to show off their personal style and tropical location.
Duane & Colleen have known each other for 9 years now and have dated for half of those years! Duane attended the same church as Colleen and once they started dating they were high school sweethearts for the remaining years and throughout some years of college. Due to the long distance relationship, Duane being at UF in Florida, and Colleen being at Ohio State, they decided to break things off but to continue being friends. They pursued a long distance relationship from Chicago to California (2,071 miles!) for 8 months. With Duane’s Navy transfer from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL, Colleen decided to join him in the move to the Sunshine State! She bought a one way ticket from Chicago to San Diego, embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime USA Cross Country Road trip with Duane & now they are both happily settled in their new home in Jacksonville!
I was told that all you need in life is love and everything else will fall in to place. Duane and Colleen had such a strong love connection that in the end they ended up happily ever after in Jacksonville, Florida.
