Every year I shoot weddings, I find more reasons to love my job and to keep doing it better and better. Every year I meet so many cool people doing what I do, but I don’t always get a chance to really experience what I did with this amazing couple. Don’t get me wrong, every couple I photograph is special to me in their own unique way and I love working with every one of them. With Jeff and Jill; I had the opportunity to watch a love story from the beginning when they met until the day they were married.

Jeff and Jill meet a few years ago and I was lucky enough to have been there from the beginning. Jill is a good friend of my wife and I really got to know Jill before Jeff came into her life. Before Jeff came along, Jill was a great person; she was fun, smart, a great friend to us and so much more. Then Jeff came and swept her off her feet! At the same time I noticed a change in Jill; she was in love. She had that look in her eye that my wife and I have for each other. We just had to meet this great guy and when we did, we instantly knew why she loved him. Jeff was everything that Jill was, but the male version.

We watched them grow together and have fun exploring the world which includes their love for Pittsburgh sports. I was so excited when they got engaged and asked my wife to be in the wedding. When they both asked me to be their capture their “happily ever after” I was floored. What can I say? I love shooting weddings! Especially weddings with an awesome bride and groom and my wife as a bridesmaid.

Jill’s wedding was a perfect day. Blue skies, warm weather and not a thing went wrong all day. It was just perfect! It even rained after we got to the reception and a rainbow showed up for them You couldn’t have asked for a better day than this one. Their ceremony was at the beautiful Brentwood Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, PA. Then we went to the Japanese Gardens in Bridgeville, PA, which were amazing and so much fun to shoot at. The reception was at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bethel Park, PA.

Before I show you the pictures and slideshow from Jill and Jeff’s special day, I wanted to leave a message for the happy couple.

Jill and Jeff – I want to say congratulations and the best of luck with your marriage and future together. Jill, you have been such a great friend to my wife and I and I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us. I really appreciate you allowing me to capture your wonderful wedding day. Jeff, I am so glad I got a chance to get to know you and can call you a friend. I can see why Jill is so much in love with you. Everyone wants to give you guys advice on how to live your life and how to make a happy marriage. So here is my tip for you two love birds… Ignore everything that everyone tells you because what works for them might not work for you. What will work is what you two believe in and agree on. Follow your hearts and I promise you that you two will be happier than ever Now go make some babies so I can capture the next step in your lives! Enjoy your honeymoon and I can’t wait until you come back so we can create your album.
