Shady Elms Farm Weddings
Every month I get photography magazines that feature cool west coast weddings with vintage themes and a lot o fun stuff. A few of the photographer forums I participate in all talk about how they wish more people did fun weddings like we see in the magazines. Angela and Evan did just that by having their beautiful and vintage wedding at Shady Elms Farm in Hickory PA. I honestly did not know this place existed until I met Angela and Evan, so I did not know what to expect. When I arrived to Shady Elms Farm on their wedding day, I was in photographers heaven!
At first glance, there were so many details and fun little things that made this wedding site unique and beautiful. I was just in awe and words can not explain enough just how amazing Shady Elms Farm is. Angela and Evan told me it was a really nice place but they didn’t tell me it was this amazing. I guess they didn’t want to ruin the emotion you get when you arrive.
When I got there, Angela was getting her makeup done by Justine in the beautiful farm house. Justine always does such a beautiful job on brides and I was so excited I would be working with her again. She makes my job editing the photos so much easier. I then explored the grounds of the ceremony and reception site with Evan and his best man. We just found so many neat little spots to take photos at. Not only were there so many great little nooks and crannies, but there were so many intricate details that just made their wedding customized and special.
We all had so much fun walking around the farm, barn and house taking so many fun and great photos. Angela and Evan were such a great couple to work with. They were so relaxed, laid back; yet still very outgoing and excited to have fun at the farm. Some brides and grooms are nervous on their wedding day. Worried about if everything will be perfect and if everything will work out. Not Evan and Angela! They just let it all happen and enjoyed it as their special day went on.
I want to wish Angela and Evan a happy marriage together and many many years of love, happiness and fun.
Thank you for looking and below are some of our favorite photos from their special day. I just loved all of the little details and wanted to show you all of the work that went in to this wedding. Everything from sweet tea and lemonade station to the cool sign directing guests where to go.
